Our Growth History
Lakeland Marketing was founded in 1988. Our mission has always been to provide the very best representation to our principals into the future with a commitment on reinvestment and to stay focused on our goal. Lakeland has always been an operator driven sales organization and we strive to maintain and build the personal relationships with all customers in our marketing area based on ethics and professionalism.
Over the past years, Lakeland Marketing has had double-digit sales growth. This growth is due to our hard work and determination to our principals and our customers.
In January of 2004, Lakeland Marketing announced new ownership. Bobby Cimrhanzel, Rod Joffre and Jody Wooldridge acquire full ownership. This acquisition has been a part of a long-term goal set for the continuity of the firm.
To date, our company is poised and focused and enjoys a high success rate in sales and growth in our market.

Our Telemarketing
Lakeland Marketing has several vendors who are very heavily involved in telemarketing. This great tool generates leads for us to follow up on and sell products to. We immediately follow-up on every lead we receive. We report back to our vendor’s responsible individuals of the outcome. We have had excellent success and hope that all the companies that we represent will become more involved in telemarketing.

 

Our Training
Training, training, and more training is yet another key to Lakeland’s success. At Lakeland, we truly believe that “knowledge is power.” We are actively involved in sales training, and hold tech meeting in our office on Mondays and Fridays. We encourage our vendors to utilize this time to come in and show us new items and educate us about them. We also hold product cuttings, which may include distributors and key operators in our test kitchen.

Our Merchandising
Merchandising is synonymous with selling, marketing, and retaining. Lakeland Marketing is an aggressive selling company, utilizing all marketing tools provided by our manufacturing partners. We implement such programs as Advance Food’s Frequent Buyer Program and to drive sales, increase account penetration, and develop operator loyalty.

Additional factors are merchandising our manufacturers’ products to our each distributor’s community sales force. “Show and Tell” exposure is invaluable.
